The 2015 Ocean Park BlockFest on September 26 was a great success, raising over $2,000 for Sources South Surrey/White Rock Food Bank!
The five Rotary clubs on the Peninsula joined forces on Saturday June 20, 2015 to host the 2nd Annual Breakfast Fundraiser for the Sources South Surrey/White Rock Food Bank. Held at the First United Church in White Rock, there was a good turnout of community members and volunteer Rotarians who made it an enjoyable event.
Approximately $3,200 was fundraised from ticket sales and donations!

Clifford Grant is a vibrant man who loves a fun pair of socks. At the Rotary Club of White Rock’s 60th Anniversary celebration in May, Clifford came up with the idea to donate $50 to the Sources South Surrey/White Rock Food Bank Resource Centre for every pair of feet donning unboring (not plain, black) socks.
Morgan’s Public House was packed on June 4 to a sold-out fundraiser dinner hosted by the Rotary Club of White Rock Peninsula. Approximately 120 people attended, including three Sources staff, to raise money for various international charitable projects as well as Sources’ Hot Lunch Program at Women’s Place.
Community and arts leader Chris Thornley presented a cheque for $500 to Sources CEO David Young on May 21 following a successful Tribute to Van Morrison event – a highlight of White Rock’s Irish Festival.

More than 300 people took part in SOURCES’ second annual Coldest Night of the Year walk in White Rock on February 21, 2015. These individuals marched 2 km, 5 km and 10 km routes by the chilly seaside to raise funds and awareness for Sources’ homeless prevention services and Rent Bank. Read More…
‘Tis the season of giving! On December 10, 2014, Sources held its annual holiday fundraiser Season of Trees at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel in Surrey. All 17 beautifully decorated trees were auctioned to a generous audience, raising close to $10,000 for Sources’ early childhood education programs. Read More…
