The SOURCES Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library currently serves close to 500 children in Surrey and White Rock – and we need your help! We need to increase our capacity by raising more money, so that we can enroll the nearly 150 children on our growing waitlist through the program.
Can you help by making a donation?
Your contribution will have an impact on children and families in Surrey and White Rock, whether you donate $5, $50 or $500.
I WANT TO DONATE
It costs just $3.55 per month per child. This covers the costs of the book (which they keep) and shipping expenses. Every child receives the same books to read so they can be ready at the same level when they enter kindergarten.
The Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a free book gifting program for young children aged 0-4. It is part of an international movement to educate and inspire children to love reading, learning and dreaming. Enrolled children receive a carefully-selected, age-appropriate and brand-new book every month, addressed to them and mailed straight to their home, until they turn five years old!

“These books mean so many things to our family. Not only do they foster my son’s love for reading but they give us a chance to spend time together, to talk about the topics the books bring up and to soak up these precious moments as a family. My youngest is now on the list to participate and we do hope the program can get more funding so he can also share in the excitement.” – Parent participant
Between November 23 and December 9, 2020, donate through our Facebook Fundraiser and 100% of your gift will support our local Imagination Library.
Facebook is not charging transaction fees to process donations through this campaign and is also issuing charitable tax receipts to donors. What’s more, your generous gift will be deposited directly into our Imagination Library account, saving our staff precious time on administrative work and allowing them to focus on enrolling the waitlisted children into the program.

It is also part of a lead-up to the premiere of Dolly Parton’s documentary, “The Library That Dolly Built: Celebrating the People Who Made Dolly’s Dream Come True” (see trailer below).
The feature-length documentary covers the history, impact and future of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and premieres exclusively on Facebook on December 9, 2020 at 7 p.m. EST. Following the screening, Dolly Parton will be live for fan Q&A and a very special acoustic performance!
