Sources Foundation Celebrates 30 Years of Fundraising with The Denim Soirée Charity Gala in Surrey

Annual charity gala aims to raise $400,000 for community programs and youth mental health services in South Surrey and White Rock

SURREY, B.C. – October 29, 2026 – Dust off those cowboy boots and get ready to raise some hope! Sources Foundation is celebrating 30 years of community giving with The Denim Soiree, its 30th Annual Signature Fundraiser, taking place Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Hazelmere Golf & Tennis Club in Surrey, B.C. The goal of the event is to raise $400,000 for essential Sources programs to support families, including counselling, youth programs, seniors’ services and wellness initiatives. A minimum of 25% of the proceeds will be dedicated to Foundry South Surrey-White Rock, a new youth wellness centre that will provide free, accessible mental health, substance use, primary care and social services for youth aged 12 to 24 and their families.

“For 30 years, the White Rock and Surrey communities have rallied alongside us to help families navigate life’s challenges,” said David MacIntyre, President & CEO of Sources Foundation. “As more families turn to Sources for assistance, the generosity of our community reminds us of what we can accomplish together.”

Over the years, proceeds from the signature event have enabled Sources to respond to critical needs. During the pandemic, the Foundation directed funds to Sources Community Resources Society (SOURCES) to provide essential support and expanded the capacity of Women’s Place as record numbers of women reached out in crisis. The Foundation was also able to help SOURCES sustain housing services during funding shortfalls, provide eight hours of free counselling to youth and purchase a new staffed home for adults with developmental disabilities and/or autism. The generosity of our community has made a lasting difference in the lives of thousands of people.

On November 7, more than 200 guests are expected to attend the milestone celebration, which will transform the venue into a modern Western-inspired ranch, complete with rustic charm, country music and a whole lot of heart.

Global BC’s Chief Meteorologist Mark Madryga will host the evening, with Howard Blank serving as auctioneer. Celebrity impersonator Bonnie Kilroe will bring the music and magic of Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, Reba McEntire, and Shania Twain to life. Guests can also look forward to line dancing, live music and some good old-fashioned Western fun.

With only a handful of tickets remaining, now is the time to saddle up and secure a spot. Purchase tickets here: Trellis.org/TheDenimSoiree.

The fundraising fun extends beyond the night’s event activities. A 50/50 raffle draw and silent auction are currently live and open to the community to participate. Visit Trellis.org/TheDenimSoiree For more information, visit SourcesFoundation.ca/SignatureEvent.

Sources Foundation tips its hat to Presenting Sponsors Scotiabank and Save-On-Foods, Diamond Sponsor West Coast Golf Group, and all other event sponsors for their commitment to strengthening our communities.
