Langley4Langley community challenge supports Sources Langley Food Bank

Many thanks to the organizers, sponsors and participants of the Langley4Langley fundraiser for their support of Sources Langley Food Bank!

Langley4Langley is a month-long community fundraising challenge event open to anyone who lives, works or volunteers in Langley. From August 15 to September 30, 2021, participants walked, ran and engaged in various activities to get moving, enjoy nature and make an impact. Participants also won prizes from local companies* while raising funds for their local Food Banks BC accredited food bank.

The event had 44 registered participants and raised more than $3,000! With Sources Langley Food Bank’s triple buying power, we’ll be able to purchase $9,000 worth of healthy food for those in need in the Langley communities.

Special thanks to Langley4Langley co-organizers Anthony Stephenson and Tony Markin! Thank you to Phil Ellis, owner and operator of Peninsula Runners in Langley, for being the “hub” for the event, accepting donations in-store, providing prizes and the technical running shirts in conjunction with Brooks Running, who also provided a pair of running shoes to the top 10 miler for the men and the women. Also, thanks to Roxci Bevis who looked after the event website and social media.
