The Semiahmoo Rotary Club’s 32nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament, originally planned to be held at Morgan Creek Golf Course on June 17, has been rescheduled for August 31, 2021.
“Due to event restrictions imposed by the current public health order, we are unable to maintain the original tournament date and have moved our event to Tuesday, August 31. While disappointed with the change in plans we are completely supportive of the directive as we want all participants to be able to enjoy the tournament under the safest conditions. The health and safety of our golfers and volunteers is first and foremost. We feel that by August 31, the vast majority of participants will have been vaccinated and the pandemic will be well under control,” said Scott Hind, Tournament Co-Chair.
While the tournament is sold out, interested golfers can join a waitlist in case spots become available.
Like last year, all the tournament’s fundraising will be online, and one hundred percent of net tournament proceeds will go to improve the lives of those in need. Proceeds from this year’s event will support Rotary community projects as well as SOURCES’ social wellness and mental health programs, with a specific focus on supporting youth, families and seniors.

The funds raised from the tournament will help many people in our community as they navigate our new normal. We’re very grateful to Rotary, all the golfers, to Morgan Creek Golf Course and to our sponsors for their continued support and we are looking forward to the end of August when we can safely enjoy a great day of golf, fun and fundraising to strengthen and heal our community.”
Fundraising efforts include an online 50/50 and silent auction. The general public can purchase 50/50 tickets starting May 15. Tickets will be available online at https://semiahmoorotary.rafflenexus.com/ for $10 for a single ticket, $20 for a three-pack of tickets, $50 for a 10-pack of tickets or $100 for a 25-pack of tickets. The winner will take home half of the jackpot (final amount based on final ticket sales). The draw will be on September 3, 2021. More details about the silent auction will be announced in August.
