Community and commerce don’t always mix, but our friends at Scotiabank have made the match and helped SOURCES a lot along the way.
Since 2010, the Canadian international bank has supported a multitude of SOURCES programs, services and events, including the White Rock/South Surrey Food Bank, Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Pebble Pedal to the Pier, Season of Trees – and of course – the Annual Fundraising Gala.
Branch manager Jayson Burden served on the Board of Directors for Sources Community Resources Society for a time, sharing his knowledge and growing the relationship between SOURCES and Scotiabank. Grandview Corners, Panorama Place, Redwood Square, Langley Main, Willowbrook Park, White Rock and Ladner branches have all been involved with our Gala, not only through sponsorship but also through volunteering.
“At Scotiabank, we continually strive to help create a better life for the people in the communities we serve around the world. By partnering with local charities and initiatives, we aim to increase opportunities for growth and success.
“For this community, we chose SOURCES because of the incredible work they do to help individuals and families with their well-being. We are proud of our staff’s involvement and proud of our relationship with SOURCES. Thank you for all you do.”

Over the eight years that Scotiabank has been a Gala Sponsor (six of those as Presenting Sponsor!), more than 180 members of Team Scotia have shown up in their signature red jerseys to assist with selling 50/50 and raffle tickets and ensuring silent and live auction payments are processed efficiently at the end of the night, making for a smooth and successful event year after year.
Our friends at Scotiabank have invested $150,000 in SOURCES’ social wellness programs.
We are incredibly grateful to Scotiabank for their ongoing generosity and commitment to supporting the growth and prosperity of our communities. Thank you for being rock stars.
