“Night of 2,000 Punches” raises $5,000 for Sources Langley Food Bank

Thousands of thank-yous to the mighty warriors of Safeguard Martial Arts!

On December 16, 2016, the Langley-based martial arts school held their “Night of 2,000 Punches” event and raised close to $5,000 for Sources Langley Food Bank!

Safeguard Martial Arts 2016Owner/operators Tina Parker and her son Troy made the donation on behalf of the students and parents of the school. It surpasses their donation last year of $3,200 – by a long shot! According to their Facebook page, it is the highest amount they have ever raised.

Food banks, in partnership with local food distributors, can triple the impact of cash donations. That means this year’s $5,000 donation can be translated into $15,000 worth of food to feed hungry families in Langley and Aldergrove, providing fresh and nutritious food throughout the cold season.

We are very grateful for your continued support! Thank you, Safeguard Martial Arts, and happy holidays one and all!
