Ride for Refuge is a fantastically fun, family-friendly bicycling or walking fundraiser in support of 250+ Canadian charities serving displaced, vulnerable, and exploited people. Join us on October 1, 2016 and help us fundraise $5,000 for Sources Langley Food Bank!
Each week, more than 600 people come to Sources Langley Food Bank for support. We provide more than food; we also distribute household and personal items, such as diapers and formula for babies, fresh produce in the summer, school supplies and snacks for school lunches.
We serve low-income community members living in Langley Township, the City of Langley and Aldergrove. Our mandate is to provide each person two days worth of nutritious food, which is donated to us or purchased using cash donations. This is because our food bank receives no government funding and relies completely on financial support from the community.
Since we opened our doors less than two years ago,
we have seen our numbers more than double
and demand continues to grow.
On October 1,
RIDE with us to raise awareness about poverty –
RIDE with us to help feed our neighbours in need –
RIDE with us to promote Social Wellness in Our Community.
