Season of Trees 2015

Sources’ annual holiday fundraiser Season of Trees raised over $10,000 this year in support of our food banks—and because food banks have a special buying power to triple cash donations, that becomes a $30,000 impact!

The festive evening gathering was hosted by longtime supporter Jas Salh of HollisWealth at her beautiful office in the Ocean Point building in South Surrey, and co-host Elizabeth Jones, a Sources Foundation board director, on December 1, 2015.

Decorated trees were up for bidding in a silent auction format. Congratulations to the successful bidders—we hope these trees bring you joy to last the season and after!

Our Thanks to Sources Season of Trees 2015 Tree Sponsors:

The main fundraising feature of the evening, however, were the Christmas Crackers in Sources colours!

Sold in bundles of three for $50 each, every cracker contained a prize, a joke, a crown and inspirational quote.

Guests had a very merry time popping the crackers, anticipating what prize they would win!

The evening also featured delicious appetizers, light refreshments, and violin music played by university students Hailey Venn and Ruth Francis-Lyster who have serenaded several Sources events for the past five years.

A special thank you to our hosts, guests, sponsors, donors, staff and volunteers for joining us that Tuesday—which also happened to be Giving Tuesday!—and for opening your hearts and wallets in support of our local food banks.

Happy Holidays!
