Season of Trees
On December 6, 2018, friend of the Sources Foundation Jas Salh hosted her client appreciation event with a fundraising element for Sources Food Banks.
The annual holiday fundraiser, Season of Trees, took place at her HollisWealth office in South Surrey’s Ocean Point building. Thank you, Jas, for your generous support!
Sources Foundation board member Norm Attridge was Event Chair, and played another key role as “Hip” Santa! With Mrs. Claus, the merry pair posed with those who purchased Rotary Save-On-Foods Gift Cards, an important element of the evening’s fundraising.
With 17% of every gift card purchased going directly to our Food Bank, every $100 gift card bought and donated back to our Food Bank gives us $350 worth of buying power!
Through a silent auction of Christmas Stockings, Donations, and Sales of Rotary Save-On-Foods Gift Cards, more than $5,000 was fundraised for Sources South Surrey/White Rock and Langley Food Banks.
Special thanks to the following individuals and businesses for sponsoring and filling stockings for our silent auction:
SOURCES also put together a stocking! Thank you to these businesses for their generous contributions:
- DAVIDsTEA
- Capilano Suspension Bridge Park
- GLOW Langley
- Semiahmoo Shopping Centre
- Vancouver Symphony Orchestra
It was a very merry event because of our volunteers. Thank you for giving your time to help make our fundraiser a success! Thank you to husband-and-wife music duo Doug and Gail of “Cheek To Cheek” for your delightful performance. Thank you to Tap Restaurant and The Sushi Lady for their delicious catering services.
Thank you to all who attended—because of you, we can make the holidays a little more merry and bright for our neighbours in need.
Happy Holidays!
