Navigational Services

Poverty Law Program

Provides advocacy services for poverty related matters in English as well as Punjabi.  Last year, this program assisted 816 people providing direct services to 262 individuals.

Mental Health Consumer Advocacy

Provides advocacy for individuals self identifying as living with a mental illness..  Last year this service assisted 797 individuals and families and one-to-one advocacy services on 427 cases.

Housing Loss Prevention Services

Prevents housing loss and provides housing stability and assists the homeless in getting housed.  This program provided direct advocacy and outreach services to 448 people with another 513 receiving short term assistance.

Disability Support Advocacy Program

Specifically assists individuals to access the “Persons with Disabilities” (PWD) income support program through the Ministry of Social Development and Social Innovation.  Last year this program supported 447 people, of which, 204 received help with applying and appealing for benefits.
