Season of Trees
Sources Foundation’s holiday fundraiser, Season of Trees, took place on December 1, 2016 at the HollisWealth office in South Surrey’s Ocean Point building. Thank you to our generous host Jas Salh and co-host Sandy Saran for your amazing support. It is always a joy to see new and familiar faces gather in the spirit of giving and spread some cheer for individuals and families in need in our community.
Several mid-sized boxes of food and close to $4,000 was fundraised for Sources South Surrey/White Rock and Langley Food Banks through Christmas crackers, a tree silent auction and donations. In addition, we received a $2,000 donation for our South Surrey/White Rock Food Bank from Elkay Developments.
With a purchasing power as a food bank charity, this equates to $16,500 that will benefit over 1,200 people who depend on our food banks each week – and their needs are even greater in the winter. Thanks to you, we can help make their holidays a little more merry and bright.
Special thanks to the following individuals and businesses for decorating and donating their beautiful and creative trees for our silent auction:
Thank you to these individuals and businesses for their generous donations of Christmas cracker prizes: Bea Grant, Bear Creek Park Train, Bruce Hayne, Cactus Club-Southpoint, Catherine Ferguson, David Young, Envision Financial, Hair by Nada, Jas Salh, Joseph Richards Group, Mercedes-Benz Langley, Patricia Donahue, PGA Plumbing and Heating, Royal Canadian Theatre Company, Semiahmoo Shopping Centre, Starbucks-Panorama Village, Superstore-South Surrey, Tiffany Kwong, Vancouver Canucks, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, and White Rock Beach Beer Co.
