Love, Sweat and Gears: Ride for Refuge 2014

Sources hosted our first Ride for Refuge cycling fundraiser on October 4, 2014 with tremendous success! Fifty teams pedaled through the scenic Fraser Valley on 10, 25 and 50 km routes. With the help of 21 partners and 272 riders, over $69,000 was fundraised for Sources, greatly exceeding our $25,000 goal!

rideforrefuge3This money will benefit Sources programs by accelerating our ability to provide support services for vulnerable children, women and individuals coping with poverty and isolation.

“The Ride is a family-friendly bike-a-thon that brought together 272 riders for a very successful and fun day,” said Howard Schein, Ride Director and Sources Director of Child, Family and Counselling Services.

rideforrefuge4THANK YOU to all participants: riders, volunteers, staff, community friends and supporters! Ride for Refuge events across Canada raised a grand total of $1.7 million in support of helping people at risk of homelessness and exploitation.
